We currently meet monthly alternately the second or third Monday afternoon, from 2pm to 4pm.
We meet in the leader’s home and discuss the book which we have read since the last meeting. Discussions are lively and we have a lot of fun. Books are chosen about 3 times a year and are put forward as suggestions by members of the group. These could be fiction or non-fiction. The group then decides which of the suggestions they would like and as many copies as possible are ordered from the library. Some members prefer to have their own copies. We have also been on a theatre outing to see one of the books we had read, performed. It was fabulous. Last year we also had a Christmas lunch.
From September 2010, there will be two groups and the dates will be either the second or the third Monday, from 2pm to 4pm. The same books will be read by both groups.
